Our predicted MUFC XI for the Premier League home game vs Wolves is now in.
Manchester United are now as ready as they’ll ever be for their second Premier League campaign under Erik ten Hag.
The Dutch manager has done some good things at this club so far. No doubt many more positive memories will follow this season. It all kicks off with a home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Make no mistake about it, our opponents will be right up for this one. The fact that they have a new manager in charge will only increase the hunger within their squad. Gary O’Neill will be looking for some positive attitude from his players.
For United, injuries haven’t helped the situation, though this is a side that should be more than good enough to win three points at home, albeit against a team who has given us some troubles over the years. Anyway, let’s get right into the all-important team news.
Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Wolves in full here:
Andre Onana does make his full debut for his new club here, with plenty of anticipation and positivity about how the man from Cameroon will get on.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka should be given the nod just ahead of Diogo Dalot at right-back. The Englishman feels like he’s in slightly better form, though it is a toss-up between the two. Luke Shaw is a guarantee to play on the left-hand side of defence, with Lisandro Martinez partnering Raphael Varane at the heart of the back four.
Casemiro has formed a pretty decent bond with Mason Mount in the early stages of the latter’s Reds career. This is a duo that will continue to play together here. Bruno Fernandes starts and captain’s this squad.
Marcus Rashford has no choice but to play through the middle due to injuries to both Rasmus Hojlund and Anthony Martial. To his right and left respectively will be Antony and Alejandro Garnacho.
