Our predicted MUFC XI vs Nottingham Forest is now in, with the Red Devils looking to get back to winning ways.
Manchester United Football Club need three points tomorrow. There’s no two ways about it. I don’t care if it’s a scrappy 1-0 with another poor performance. Winning here is essential.
The game has been made much tougher due to injuries. Mason Mount is out for at least a month. Luke Shaw longer. Erik ten Hag is still unable to call upon the services of Rasmus Hojlund.
Forest play decent football so winning here is not going to be easy in the slightest. It’s down to Ten Hag to ensure his side is set up right. Anyway, with that in mind, it’s time to give you the full rundown of the team we think will play…
Check out our starting XI for the MUFC home game vs Nottingham Forest:
Andre Onana has been the only one who has played with real conviction this season. The man from Cameroon looks to be the real deal.
At right-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is given the nod. Over in the left-back slot, Diogo Dalot will likely be preferred to Alvaro Fernandez. Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez start at the heart of the back four. They will be tested.
Casemiro has been left far too isolated this season. The return of Christian Eriksen should help him out, in a game that United are expected to dominate. Bruno Fernandes completes the midfield trio that we saw so often last term.
Antony has struggled this campaign but he’s still the best option at right-wing. Marcus Rashford is given the opportunity to return to the left-wing position, with Anthony Martial making his first start of the season after his own injury issues.
