Man United are looking good to sign Altay Bayndir from Fenerbahce.
Manchester United’s summer has somewhat faded out. After a strong start, the Red Devils’ lack of investment is becoming a problem. Erik ten Hag is in a situation where he has to sell before he buys, which is causing major issues.
Injuries are now potentially forcing United into action in the left-back market, while in the goalkeeper position, Dean Henderson remains at the club (for now).
The Englishman is unhappy at the club due to a lack of playing time, so it makes sense to move him on – but only if a replacement is in place.
The good news? Altay Bayindir seems to be pretty much a done deal.
It’s Fabrizio Romano with the latest information on that front. He says that United believe their deal to sign the 25-year-old keeper is now ‘on track’. The final details are being worked on and then the transfer will be confirmed.
An official statement is not expected today as there’s still some work to do. A £6m (€7m) deal is well underway, with Bayindir already in the United Kingdom.

Bayindir is well thought of at Fenerbahce, though the time may be now for him to move on and try his luck in the Premier League.
Stylistically, it’s a good fit, while Bayindir is an excellent shot-stopper. It does feel like an astute signing, due to the fact that the player profile is right.
Bayindir will also be given his fair share of minutes, particularly if the rumours are true that claim Andre Onana could be back in the international fold for Cameroon.
