Rasmus Hojlund has sent a message to the Man United fans, following his debut.
Manchester United desperately needed a new striker this summer. Eventually, they’d settle on Rasmus Hojlund.
The Dane’s debut was delayed immediately, after news surfaced of a semi-serious injury. He’d miss the Reds’ pre-season, while also being unavailable for the first few matches of the season.
Against Arsenal, the striker would give us our first glimpse of action. He’d come on around the 60-minute mark, instantly offering a different dimension to the United attack.
Speed, physicality and work rate. From minute one, all three were on full display. I gotta’ say, I enjoyed watching him terrorise Gabriel at the back and on another day, he could have been awarded a penalty.
Although the debut didn’t go exactly as planned results-wise, it does feel like United have a top player on their hands.
After making his United bow, Hojlund took to social media to send an emotional message to the Old Trafford faithful.

It’s just nice to see United viewed as a desirable destination by a top talent. It’s well-known that Hojlund is a United fan and you get the impression he’s willing to leave absolutely everything out on the pitch for the cause.
I fully believe him when he says United will bounce back after an unlucky result. On another day, United could have won that game somewhat comfortably.
Now, Hojlund will be given the opportunity to continue to build his fitness while away with Denmark. Even if he only plays an hour, every little will help United’s number eleven move towards 100% fitness.
I genuinely cannot wait to see more of him in action. He looks great.
