Jadon Sancho could face disciplinary action after his social media outburst about Man United and Erik ten Hag.
Manchester United’s results haven’t been quite as good as we’d have hoped at this stage in the season. Although the fixtures have been pretty difficult, you expect better from Erik ten Hag’s men.
The performance against Arsenal was ironically the best we’ve seen this season. Sadly, United didn’t get the rub of the green on the day. It happens.
What was intriguing before kick-off was Jadon Sancho’s omission. The Englishman wasn’t injured, rather, he was left out due to not meeting the desired levels in training. The winger would hit back at Ten Hag after the game with a social media post.
The story may not end there, according to the Manchester Evening News. They reckon that the United player could ‘face disciplinary action’ after his outburst, with Ten Hag standing by his reasoning for leaving Sancho out of the squad.
We’ve seen it before. Ten Hag doesn’t mess about. He kicked Cristiano Ronaldo to the curb at the first sight of trouble. Just a few weeks later, the Portugal international had his contract cancelled.
Will this one go that way? I’d doubt it due to Sancho’s value as a player. We saw just how much money plays a factor with the powers that be at this club. The Mason Greenwood situation is the prime example of that.
The Saudi Arabia transfer window remains open but I’d be surprised if Sancho would sanction that move. Right now, I really do struggle to see a way back for the ex-Borussia Dortmund winger. Perhaps the wounds can be healed over the coming weeks. That would be best for all involved, at least until January.
