Amad is attracting Premier League transfer interest, ahead of the January window.
Manchester United will still need bodies through the door if they’re serious about trying to win major trophies this season. That much is obvious.
Injuries haven’t helped the situation at all. We’ve been deprived of getting closer glimpses at some mega-talented youngsters who picked up injuries in pre-season. We all know about Kobbie Mainoo’s talents, which has allowed Amad’s name to float under the radar.
The currently injured United player is on his way back after picking up a problem back in July. It was a bitter blow after he did look sharp in those friendly matches before going down with the issue.
Now, Football Transfers have provided an update on his future. They state that the presently unavailable United star is now ‘subject’ of Premier League transfer interest ahead of the January window. It’s Wolverhampton Wanderers who are keen.
Apparently, Wolves have already contacted United over the possibility of a loan deal for the 21-year-old, having scouted Amad during the Nuno Espirito Santo days back in 2021.
At that time, Atalanta chose to accept a big-money offer from United, effectively leaving Wolves with no chance at getting a deal done.
It’s a weird situation. We United supporters haven’t really been given the opportunity to see Amad don our shirt with regularity However, the talent is so obviously there.
You look at his loan spell at Sunderland last year and it’s easy to see why clubs like Wolves would be keen on giving him a chance in the Premier League.
With the way United’s current wingers are playing, it does beg the question, is he worth a go upon his injury return first? I’d honestly consider it as quite frankly, he cannot do any worse than our wide men are doing right now.
