Chelsea’s latest injury report is out, and the biggest news is two players who are not on it, rather than any new additions.
Levi Colwill and Trevoh Chalobah are nowhere to be seen, indicating both defenders are fit and ready for action, should they be selected. The former only had a minor issue, while the latter has missed the entire season so far with some rather puzzling and cryptic problems.
That’s a boost for our depth at the back, given Benoit Badiashile has been added to the list having hurt his groin against Aston Villa. Assuming the Frenchman is out, Mauricio Pochettino faces a big decision at the back. Does the freshly rested Thiago Silva slot back in to replace him, or do we see Colwill instead?
Fans were loving the setup with a younger partnership at the back without Silva this week, but Pochettino has so far shown great faith in Silva’s experience.
