News emerged yesterday that FIFA were going to trial “blue cards” which would mean a ten minute time out for players who are guilty of dissent towards the referee or other similar infringements.
The idea got a hostile reaction online, and when put to managers across the Premier League in pressers today, the reaction wasn’t much better. Mauricio Pochettino was as negative as anyone, questioning the idea and how it would be applied when asked about it earlier today.
We think people should be open minded to at least giving these things a trial – but we also agree with a lot of the coach’s questions about how it would work.
