Malo Gusto impressed us right from the start with his performances in a Chelsea shirt. His talent and strenghts were always clear, but some injuries and an unlucky red card held him back a little from finding consistency – until recently.
Now he’s really found his feet, and in the last few games he’s been one of our best players.
He will need to be on top form against Liverpool on Sunday, but in an exclusive interview with NIzaar Kinsella, the full back revealed just how confident he is about the game:
“I have a big chance, and the team as well [has a big chance], to win a trophy early in the season. I think it can be nice for our mentality to help us become better until the end of the season. It is very important for us to take this opportunity to keep pushing during the season.
“We have to win this trophy for us and the fans because they are waiting a lot for this team, but this trophy can be important for everyone for the rest of the season and the club.”
We love his attitude and we love his style. Early this year we were seeing regular flashes of him attacking dangerously, but being let down a little by his defensive skills. But in the game against Man City last week he did both really well.
HE HE will need to show similar balance on Sunday, let’s hope he’s up to it.
