Incoming Bayern Munich transfer Michael Olise may not have made France’s EURO 2024 squad, but the 22-year-old is still committed to play for the French men’s national team — and will be representing his nation this summer at the Olympics in Paris.
There, he will be coached by none other than legendary FC Barcelona and Arsenal FC man Thierry Henry — one of the most electric footballing talents in his day.
So Henry knows a thing or two when he speaks about Olise’s attacking profile.
“He’s a very important player for us,” Henry said of the current Crystal Palace star’s role with the Olympics squad (as captured by @iMiaSanMia.) “He can play everywhere, on the wings or centrally. That gives us many options. He can pass, he can score, he understands the space, he knows how to press. He’s been injured quite often, so we will have to be careful about that.”
Uh oh…an injury-prone signee? Let us hope the Bayern chapter of Olise’s career will not be that way.
