Noted pundit Didi Hamann took some time to break down his thoughts on Bayern Munich’s chances in the Champions League.
While noting that the Bavarians dropped a UCL match to Aston Villa, Hamann did say that the team was capable of actually winning the Champions League.
“Bayern have started the season very well, although they lost against Aston Villa. Bayern are competing for all the trophies at the moment. Despite a few injuries, I don’t see why Bayern can’t win their domestic trophies and the Champions League under Vincent Kompany,” Hamann told Flashscore.
Like many, though, Hamann thinks Bayern Munich’s success could ride on the shoulders of Harry Kane.
“Last season, Harry Kane did not perform in the big games. Kane needs to be fit and scoring when the season starts for Bayern in April, where all the big games are. I can’t see Kane not winning any competition this season, it will be his time to win trophies,” Hamann noted.
