Tottenham Hotspur have been enduring a roller coaster of a campaign as Ange Postecoglou‘s side have played some magnificent football and followed those up with some poor performances, which has seen the Lilywhites have their fair share of inconsistent form of wins and losses. Spurs were defeated by Turkish giants Galatasaray S.K. in the midweek and were left licking their wounds ahead of their Premier League clash against Ipswich Town at White Hart Lane.
However, the newly promoted Premiership side gave Ange Postecoglou’s side a thing or two to think about as Tottenham Hotspur Stadium went point quite twice in the first half when the visitors found ways to net two goals and leave the hosts staring at another daunting deficit on the score line going into halftime.
When the hosts came back on in the second half, they came all gun blazing as the North Londoners went all out attack on Arijanet Muric’s goal and in doing so, and there were question marks and appeals for potential penalty when when Pedro Porro’s cross hit Leif Davis’ arm as scores were all tied. It was a decision not given as pen by the in-pitch ref, and VAR seconded this decision.

Speaking about the penalty call, former Tottenham Hotspur defender Stephen Kelly on BBC Radio 5 Live (via. BBC Match of the Day) said:
If there is any indecision or uncertainty then the on-field decision has to stand.”
