Bayern Munich loanee Paul Wanner is having a good season on loan at Heidenheim — in fact, a campaign that has caught the attention of many clubs.
Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund acknowledged that Wanner is drawing a lot of attention.
“We are very happy and satisfied with Paul’s development. He has had a great start to the season, is playing well and having a lot of minutes. He is a player with whom we are planning our future, so we’re not thinking about other things. Of course, other clubs are interested. But we are planning with him in the future at Bayern Munich,” said Freund (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Sounds good, right? Much like Julian Nagelsmann found out with his ill-fated invitation to Wanner to attend German national team camp next week, the kid might have other ideas.
Sport Bild’s Christian Falk posted news on some of the options that Wanner is considering for a potential move. You will like none of them if you are a Bayern Munich fan, who wants to see Wanner at the Allianz Arena next season:
