Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad have joined the race for West Ham United winger Mohammed Kudus.
The Ghanaian has been the focus of recent speculation linking him with a transfer to Arsenal for £85m. The Gunners have been joined as potential front-runners by Liverpool, who are likely to need to replace Mo Salah at the end of the current campaign and view the West Ham wide-man as the perfect replacement.
Now Saudi Arabia’s richest club has entered the fray. If any club can outmuscle the Premier League giants, it’s Al-Ittihad, known for their financial power. It has been suggested that the Jeddah based club could look to blow other clubs out of the water with a mega transfer fee in January before the Hammers release clause is active
Al-Ittihad already boasts stars like N’Golo Kante, Fabinho, Karim Benzema, Moussa Diaby, and former Hammers target Steven Bergwijn. They pay wages that could turn anyone’s head, and while some Pro League clubs have curbed their spending recently, Al-Ittihad are not among them.
Whether Kudus would be interested in turning down the chance to join Champions League clubs remains uncertain, but his West Ham release clause means any club willing to pay £85m next summer will secure his signature
