High on Tim Steidten’s West Ham’s to-do list this Winter window is the rejuvenation of the Hammers’ midfield which has been variously been described as being pedestrian, made up of cardboard cut-outs or my favourite, filled with players that turn slower then milk.
However as our inside source has repeatedly told us, in order to recruit, West Ham need to offload so we were very pleased to read of the negotiations on-going between the club and Argentinian side River Plate to repatriate one Hammer who’s time at London Stadium has not been successful. Confirmed by Sport Witness, Guido Rodriguez is now the subject of discussions between West Ham and the South American side as they confirm..”River Plate’s desire to sign the West Ham player next month….[the team]now want to make Rodríguez as their third ‘luxury reinforcement’.”
“Pushing at an open door’ is how I think this will best be described by West Ham fans who will be pleased to see this unfortunate chapter closed. Rodriguez will hopefully find himself far better suited to life with River Plate and West Ham can (dream on, Martin) bring another ‘bright young thing’ into the squad in his place.
A set of ‘Win- Win’ negotiations, which cannot be a bad thing.
