Well, it’s 2025 (for most of us) and it is time to reflect on some things (Bayern Munich-related) and otherwise from the past year, while also looking ahead.
First, we want to thank the BFW community for being, well, awesome. None of this is here without you all. Second, I’d personally like to extend major gratitude to the staffers here at BFW and at BPW for producing the best Bayern Munich-related content in the world. I mean that and am ready to throw hands with anyone who denies it!
What the staff here does is insane (in a good way) and they are truly the best, most well-rounded group of people I could ask for on this site. I know you don’t necessarily agree with all of us (heck, some of you hate me!), but this group works wonders daily.
So massive thanks to Tom, Phil, Frank, Samrin, RIPLT, Alberto, Zippy, Marcus, Jack, Logan, Thor, Dasher, Cyler, Schnitzel, Dasher, Michael, Dylan, Jesse, Marc, and Teddy for all of the great things you do day-to-day.
Over the last year, a lot happened here. The BFW staff brought in (or welcomed back) some great folks and we also started an official company — Bavarian Podcast Works, LLC (if you want host read ads, hit me up!).
We also saw a few friends — writers, podcasters, and community members — venture off into the wilderness of life and we wish them all well.
There was also a shift in Bayern Munich’s fortunes. The club went trophyless in 2024, hired (another) front office exec, fired (another) coach, and overall…underachieved. The 2024/25 campaign is off to a good start, though, so that will help guide us for the calendar year of 2025, which should be a heck of a journey here in the coming months.
Through all of the events of 2024 we have been here — writing, chatting, and podcasting — the whole way.
Barring anything crazy happening, we will be doing the same for 2025 as well — and we hope like hell you are all along for the ride once more.
