According to a report from Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich defender Hiroki Itō is finally running after experience a setback to his metatarsal injury back in early November:
Hiroki Itō has resumed running training on the pitch for the first time since his second metatarsal surgery in November. It’s still unclear when the Japanese will be able to resume team training, but this was a first step towards his comeback.
Itō’s versatility would be a welcomed sight on the Bayern Munich roster when he is healthy. Able to play left-back and center-back, Itō could play a key role in providing rest for players like Alphonso Davies, Kim Min-jae, and Dayot Upamecano.
