According to a report from kicker journalist Georg Holzner (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Real Madrid could be moving on from its pursuit of Alphonso Davies:
The demands of Alphonso Davies’ representatives are no longer unrealistic. New talks with the Canadian and his management are planned and are due to take place in the coming days. Although they still have Davies on their radar, Real Madrid are now increasingly focused on Trent Alexander-Arnold instead – therefore, Davies is losing leverage in negotiations with Bayern. It’s quite possible he will be the first to extend among all other players with whom the club is negotiating.
While Alexander-Arnold is a right-back, it is clear that Real Madrid has budgeted for the purchase of one outside-back. Should things fall apart between Los Blancos and the Liverpool star, it remains to be seen if the LaLiga power would quickly shift focus back to Davies.
