- Mary Fowler dubbed Instagram images ‘a recap of 2024’
- Featured her footy superstar boyfriend Nathan Cleary
- Couple will continue their long-distance relationship
Matildas star Mary Fowler has revealed a dramatic new look on Instagram as she posted a photo album summing up the year she had in 2024.
Fowler, 21, is back in the United Kingdom following a festive season spent with her NRL superstar boyfriend Nathan Cleary – and as frequent travellers tend to do, she utilised her time well on Australian shores.
The Manchester City ace took to Instagram on Tuesday just hours after helping her team outclass Ipswich Town 3-0 in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Among Fowler’s recent photo dump – which she titled a ‘recap of 2024’ – included images of Cleary as well as a series of promotional shots.
The sporting power couple recently spent time together on Hayman Island as they now continue their long-distance relationship.
Fowler, fresh from being voted one of the Women’s Super League fans’ nominees as player of the month for December, led the line for City against Ipswich.

It was her first match of 2025 as the WSL powerhouses ran rings around the National League South leaders on Sunday on home soil.
While Fowler didn’t get on the scoresheet, she continued her good form.
Fowler scored in City’s 4-0 WSL against Leicester on December 9, and also converted a late penalty at Everton in the final league match before the Christmas and New Year break.
She was also impressive in European action, namely against St Polten and at Barcelona.
Next for Fowler and her teammates in the WSL is the derby versus Manchester United on January 20.
Both teams currently sit in the top four, with Sam Kerr’s Chelsea the team everyone is chasing following their unbeaten status in the league after 10 matches.
Elsewhere in the FA Cup, Arsenal’s Matildas trio Steph Catley, Caitlin Foord and Kyra Cooney-Cross saw their home tie with Bristol City at Meadow Park postponed.
Another casualty was the tie between Clare Wheeler’s Everton and a Tottenham side expected to feature Aussies Hayley Raso, Clare Hunt and Charli Grant.
Both games will now be played on January 30.
