According to a report from Sport Bild journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is feeling good about its talks with star attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala.
In addition, the numbers for Bayern Munich’s next proposal to Musiala are becoming more clear — which will put the youngster in the same salary stratosphere as striker Harry Kane:
Within the club, it is said that there’s movement in the contract negotiations with Jamal Musiala and Bayern are very optimistic of closing the agreement. Both sides are coming closer together and Bayern would be willing to make a concession by including the release clause demanded by Musiala’s camp. It could amount to €175m or even higher.
Regarding the wages, Musiala would earn around the same salary as Harry Kane or a bit less (€24m gross per year).
Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund was asked about the progress being made on a deal and the thought of having a release clause in the new contract. Needless to say, Freund only gave a few details on the matter.
“We are in good talks with Jamal Musiala and his management. Everyone knows that we want to extend his contract and make him an important part for the future of the club. I’m not going to talk about contract details here,” Freund said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
