Speculation surrounding Ange Postecoglou’s future at Tottenham Hotspur grows louder and wider after the Lilywhites 3-2 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League this Sunday, and there have already been names floated over potential successors to the Australian head coach, with Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna emerging as a possible candidate, as suggested by journalist Henry Winter.
The Lilywhites suffered their fifth defeat in six Premier League fixtures and are now placed in the bottom half of the English top tier table as the wrath around the former Celtic manager’s time at the club continues.
Ange out… but who can Tottenham get at helm?
And following the defeat to Davis Moyes’ side, Henry Winter questioned whether the North Londoners should get rid of Ange for the sake of it and without a successor lined up. He also suggested that the problems at White Hart Lane have been far going before Postecoglou.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Winter noted:
It’s all very well saying Ange out – and that first half was embarrassing – but who in? Would Spurs get Iraola or McKenna? Would the culture of meekness at the club change overnight? Many of Spurs problems pre-date Postecoglou. The one positive for the future is that some of the players working hardest are the youngest (Moore, Gray, Bergvall and Spence 24). #THFC #EVETOT
McKenna has been an absolute hero at Ipswich Town with back-to-back promotions as he guided them from League One to the Premier League. However, at the moment, they sit 18th in the Premier League table but have showcased structural and tactical strength in their games.
Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola has been another name that has been linked with a move to Hotspur Way, with his forward-flowing football philosophy being something that the Lilywhites supporters would appreciate.

It is to be seen where this goes given how risky it would be for Levy to sack Postecoglou in the midseason without a successor.
