Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany lives for Champions League nights and will surely have his boys ready for their outing in Amsterdam against Feyenoord.
“We have a lot of experience in the team and I believe that the atmosphere is motivating for us,” Kompany said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). ”I don’t look at the table. I’ve had a lot of fun with this new format. There’s no point in looking at the table. If you win six games, you’re in the top eight. Everything else is difficult to predict. But I’m looking at us winning six games. That’s my goal.”
Kompany will not have his full arsenal at his disposal. The coach still has some players rounding into form after experience injuries.
“It’s important for us that the squad is slowly filling up again. Not everyone is at the same fitness level due to injuries, such as Josip Stanišić. We have a very experienced team. This is a special away game. We want to win as always and deliver our best performance,” Kompany noted.
Finally, Kompany touched on his experience in coaching against Feyenoord head man Brian Priske.
“I played against him in my first year as a coach. We were both under a lot of pressure, but we had some great games. He has an attacking approach — at least in Belgium. But of course, in the end we all live by results,” said Kompany.
