Tottenham are in the winter market for reinforcements
Tottenham Hotspur are in an utter mess at this moment, having slipped to 15th in the table after a 3-2 defeat to Everton on Sunday.
Ange Postecoglou is in a perilous position and questions are starting to be asked of the Spurs boss. Obviously, there has been a lot of speculation about the Australian’s future at the club, although the hierarchy are keeping their faith in him and planning to bring in new players in this ongoing transfer window.
The North Londoners are in desperate need of reinforcements as Ange Postecoglou attempts to avoid the chop after a torrid run of just one win in 10 Premier League games. The 59-year-old’s woes were exacerbated last week by Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson’s injuries, with the duo now set to spend weeks on the sidelines.

Now, Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas has given us an update on Spurs’ transfer activity from now on until the end of the January transfer window. When asked by a Tottenham fan whether he expects the club to make any further signings, Lyall Thomas said on X:
“Yes. Be astonished if they don’t given the circumstances. “Forward seems to be the priority (and the hardest word).”
Postecoglou is keen for more firepower in this transfer window as he tries to turn things around at White Hart Lane. He had made the signing of Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani a priority. However, Tottenham’s pursuit of Kolo Muani came to an end after the French striker decided to join Juventus on loan instead of moving to the Premier League.
Spurs were ‘gutted’ to miss out on Kolo Muani, but the Premier League side remains eager to strengthen their attack before the January transfer window closes. And now Lyall Thomas has doubled down by claiming that he would be “astonished” if the Hotspur Way chiefs don’t bring in attacking reinforcements.

Given the latest injuries to Solanke and Johnson, coupled with the fact that Richarlison has only just returned from months on the sidelines, Big Ange’s necessity for a versatile forward has only grown tenfold. OGC Nice striker Evann Guessand and Southampton talent Tyler Dibling have been heavily linked with a move to N17 of late.
