Kylian Mbappe pictured in good spirits during France’s national team training, amid speculation over his PSG future and interest from Real Madrid… as striker is all smiles at Clairefontaine
Kylian Mbappe was seen in good spirits during his return to France’s national team training on Tuesday afternoon – despite a chaotic day of transfer speculation.
The 24-year-old was the centre of attention throughout the day as his future with Ligue 1 giants PSG was thrown into doubt in the wake of reports from France.
However, Mbappe was quick to dispute the claims that he was keen to leave the Parc des Princes with a post on his social media account that labelled the reports as ‘lies’.
Even with his statement, the striker’s future remains unknown but that didn’t seem to be on his mind as he returned to national team training on Tuesday.
The France captain was pictured smiling and laughing with his compatriots during training drills at their Clairefontaine institute.

Mbappe linked up with the 2022 World Cup finalists ahead of their Euro qualifiers against Gibraltar and Greece in the next week.
The 24-year-old will likely feature in the fixtures having had a lengthy lay-off since PSG’s final match of the season against Clermont Foot.
Mbappe enjoyed a sensational season for the Parisian side in 2022-23, notching 29 goals in 34 appearances during the title charge.
His impressive displays in Paris have had Europe’s elite clubs on standby for years now and it seems there could finally be movement in the Mbappe transfer saga.
French paper Le Parisien reported that the 24-year-old wants to join Madrid but that prompted Mbappe to post on his social media account.
The forward wrote on Twitter: ‘LIES. I have already said that I will continue at PSG where I am very happy.’
PSG were hoping to avoid Mbappe’s departing on a free deal and were prepared to listen to offers for the 24-year-old, before he indicated his desire to stay until the summer of 2024.
Real Madrid came agonisingly close to luring Mbappe to the Bernabeu last summer before the forward sensationally chose to extend his PSG contract.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side parted company with star forward Karim Benzema following his £86million per year move to Saudi Arabian champions Al-Ittihad last week and would likely be the favourites to land Mbappe again, especially if they miss out on Tottenham star Harry Kane this summer.
Mbappe re-signed with Paris Saint-Germain on an initial two-year contract, which included a player option of an extra season.
If the forward, who stunned PSG with news that he does not want to stay, has not agreed to the additional year by July 31, the French giants will look to cash in on him this summer.
