Divine Mukasa has just officially confirmed his exit from West Ham United.
West Ham have lost Divine Mukasa – an exceptionally talent young player – and that’s really bad news as far as I’m concerned.

The Hammers have lost plenty of young players over the past year including the likes of Harrison Ashby, Sonny Perkins, Aji Alese and Jamal Baptiste to name just a few.
Mukasa is an elite and incredibly exciting young talent. The 15-year-old scored a goal for the West Ham under-18s during our 2-0 win over Arsenal – a result that clinched the league title for our youngsters.
Unfortunately for us though, we won’t be seeing the teenager in the famous claret and blue for the first team…
Exceptionally talented under-18 starlet Divine Mukasa confirms he’s left West Ham on Instagram
Mukasa is no longer a West Ham player after leaving the East London outfit.
The young star took to Instagram to confirm that he has left the Hammers youth setup:
The 15-year-old attacking midfielder possesses exceptional technique and has a great engine on him for someone so young.
Mukasa has all of the raw ingredients needed to go on and become a real star in the game. And if he continues to work hard and apply himself properly off the pitch, I have no doubts in my mind that he will reach the very top.
It’s such a shame that Divine Mukasa has made the decision to leave West Ham. Despite the fact that he hasn’t even turned 16 yet, it was clear to see when watching his performances for the under-18s last season that he has something special about him.
The more worrying thing though is the theme that has developed recently whereby our most talented young players seem to feel as though it’s in their best interest to move on. Is that because Moyes places little trust in youth players? Who knows.
There is something clearly very wrong about our youth setup though, and it desperately needs addressing very quickly indeed.
