West Ham have been handed a big Harvey Barnes boost with Newcastle eyeing up a sensational summer signing.
According to ABC, Newcastle are lining up a bold move to sign Joao Felix in the summer transfer window – great news for the West Ham pursuit of Harvey Barnes.

However, it was recently claimed that the Foxes attacker is all set to join the Magpies.
Now though, it seems as though Hammers boss David Moyes may well have a free run at Barnes…
Quirky twist of fate as Newcastle making Joao Felix signing could see West Ham land key target
ABC reckon that the Magpies are in prime position to sign the 23-year-old attacker, with Champions League football on offer at St James’ Park.
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone actually labelled Felix as world-class recently (Sky Sports). However, the Argentinian clearly doesn’t see a place for the Portuguese star in his team for one reason or another.
The 23-year-old showed glimpses of his outstanding quality during his loan spell with Chelsea last season, and now he could be set for a return to the Premier League with Newcastle. The Spaniard’s allegedly want around £70 million for Felix (Daily Mail).
If the Atleti owned ace does join the Toon, there’s surely no way that they will be signing Harvey Barnes as well, and that’s brilliant news for the Hammers.
The 25-year-old is a player that I want West Ham to sign more than anyone else this summer.
He has pace and power in abundance and has an incredibly potent end product as well – his 13 Premier League goals last season were evidence of exactly that.
Harvey Barnes would undoubtedly take West Ham to another level. And Joao Felix joining Newcastle United this summer should make Moyes’s task of bringing Barnes to the London Stadium a whole lot easier.
