West Ham are still in the race to sign Alex Scott, but we now face competition from Wolves as well as Bournemouth.
According to a report from The Telegraph, Bristol City starlet Alex Scott is on the radar of West Ham, Wolves and Bournemouth in the summer transfer window.

Hammers boss David Moyes needs to bolster his midfield ranks at the London Stadium this summer, and I think that Scott would be the perfect summer signing.
So with that in mind, it was disappointing to hear that we were trailing in the race for his signature. It now seems as though our hopes of signing the talented teenager are still very much alive though…
West Ham still in for Alex Scott after £20 million bid made from another club
The Telegraph claims that the Hammers are in fact still interested in signing the 19-year-old. However, Wolves are the first club to make a move for him, and have made a £20 million bid.
Scott is a sensational young talent, and I have no doubts in my mind that he’ll go on to become one of the very best midfielders in England over the next five years or so. £25 million will end up looking like a bargain – I’m sure of it.
So why aren’t West Ham meeting Bristol City’s demands for Alex Scott. Even if we paid them £25 million over three instalments, that would only be £8.25 million needed from the Declan Rice money.
He has absolutely everything we need at the London Stadium and should be one of our priority transfer targets this summer.
Total Football Analysis have labelled Scott as ‘incredible’. He has also been described as an excellent player by Bristol City’s official website.
He’s a central midfielder by trade but can operate further forward in the number 10 position or even out on the right wing if need be.
Alex Scott is an incredibly gifted young player, and the ‘new Jack Grealish‘ would take West Ham’s play through the middle of the pitch to a whole new level entirely as far as I’m concerned.
Now the Rice money is in, there is absolutely no excuse for missing out to the likes of Wolves and Bournemouth in the race for Scott.
Let’s just hope that we get this one done with the minimum of fuss.
