Declan Rice has responded to an emotional West Ham video post after declaring ‘I’m a Gunner now’ following his Arsenal move.
West Ham have been criticised by some Arsenal supporters for what they believe was a bitter and insufficient farewell to Declan Rice.
It is fair to say there is no love lost between West Ham and Arsenal after the British record £105m move was confirmed at the weekend.

Arsenal fans have been taking great delight in snatching away West Ham’s crown jewel. And the move has cut many Hammers fans deep, even if there has never been a great rivalry between West Ham and Arsenal.
Especially after it became known that Rice had made it clear he ‘only wanted to join Arsenal’. And the move had been on the cards as far back as December.
The long, drawn out nature of the ‘reluctant’ deal between West Ham and Arsenal led to reports of relations becoming fractious.
Particularly as the delay has impacted West Ham’s own summer transfer activity – according to none other than David Moyes himself yesterday.

‘I’ll never forget’
It cut deep for some West Ham fans when they finally saw Rice in the red and white of Arsenal.
Even more so when he declared to rapper ‘Stormzy’ ‘I’m a Gunner now’ in his announcement video.
West Ham posted a fitting two-minute long video montage tribute to Rice on social media charting his time at the club.
And Rice has responded with an equally emotional message.
“Thank you to everyone at this amazing club,” Rice said in the comments on the video.
“Will never forget what you have all done for me.
“See you all soon.”
