West Ham have made an enquiry with French club Monaco for a star Mark Noble watched and got a refreshing response.
West Ham fans following the summer transfer window will be aware of links to Monaco midfield star Youssouf Fofana.
L’Equipe first reported West Ham’s interest in Fofana back in June as the Hammers geared up for life after Declan Rice.
RMC Sport then claimed West Ham were better placed than the likes of Inter Milan and Roma to sign the 24-year-old France international.
David Moyes has been linked with all and sundry since the deal to sell Rice to Arsenal for a British record £105m was confirmed at the weekend.

Bids have reportedly been made for the likes of Joao Palhinha and Conor Gallagher while offers are also allegedly being prepared for Edson Alvarez and longstanding West Ham target James Ward-Prowse.
West Ham’s £45m bid for Portugal star Palhinha was rejected with Fulham reportedly holding out for between £60-80m.
It seems that has deterred West Ham and pushed the club to pursue other targets.
Because West Ham have made a Fofana enquiry with French club Monaco for a star Mark Noble watched and got a refreshing response.

Back in February, Noble attended Monaco’s 3-1 win over PSG where on invitation of then sporting director Paul Mitchell.
Football.London claimed Noble was also assessing a number of potential West Ham summer targets while at the game.
And Fofana put in a man of the match display while also playing a hand in two of the three goals.
90 Min claimed this week in the wake of the rejected bid for Palhinha that Fofana ‘has emerged as a player of significant interest to West Ham’.
Now The Daily Mail claim initial communication has taken place over a deal between the Hammers and Monaco for Fofana.
And West Ham were pleasantly surprised to hear the principality club put a realistic price tag on the player’s head.
“While some of their rivals will look to exploit the fact West Ham have just sold Rice for a British record fee, Monaco are open to doing business at a price the London Stadium club may well consider more reasonable,” The Daily Mail reports.
“They are thought to want between £26m and £31m for Fofana, who has 10 caps for his country and is also understood to have attracted interest from elsewhere in the Premier League.”
