West Ham United seem to be set to miss out on the signing of Axel Disasi to Chelsea this summer.
According to BBC Sport, Chelsea have agreed a €45 million (£39 million) deal to sign West Ham target Axel Disasi in the summer transfer window.
Hammers manager David Moyes desperately needs to add some real quality to his central defensive ranks at the London Stadium this summer.
And Disasi would have been absolutely perfect for the job. However, Chelsea seem to have scuppered West Ham’s plans…

Another one bites the dust for West Ham with Chelsea close to Axel Disasi signing
BBC Sport claim that the Blues are close to sign the Monaco centre-back for £39 million.
That will undoubtedly end up being great value for the west London outfit.
Disasi is an absolute powerhouse of a centre-back, and he can play as a right-back as well.
The Frenchman possesses blistering pace, has composure in possession and is extremely strong both in the air and on the ground in the tackle.
In 38 Ligue 1 games for Monaco last season, Disasi racked up three goals and three assists. During those outings he averaged 0.8 tackles, 1.5 interceptions, 2.9 clearances and 2.6 successful aerial duels per game (Who Scored).
The France international is a good passer of the football as well. In 38 Ligue 1 games for Monaco last term, he made 50.5 passes on average per match and recorded an average completion rate of 83.8% (Who Scored).
Monaco Tribune describe Axel Disasi as a ‘towering colossus’, whilst AS Monaco’s official website have labelled the centre-back as a ‘sublime’ player, and they’re not wrong.
The Frenchman seems to be perfectly built for the robust and physical nature of Premier League football.
And losing out to Chelsea on the signing of Axel Disasi will be a really big blow for West Ham in my opinion.
