CandH Exclusive: Scammaca moves on

Claret and Hugh understands the Hammers have agreed to sell Gianluca Scamacca to Atalanta after the Serie A outfit came in to hijack the striker’s possible move to Inter Milan.
We believe the fee to be in the order of €24 million, which represents a €7 million loss on the front man who joined the Hammers from Sassuolo last summer.
It has been on the cards for weeks the front man was on his way with Inter being big favourites but in recent days Atalanta switched their attention to the player and have won his signature.
It has been an unexpected twist in the scenario but one which they have now appear to have won leaving the Hammers with Michail Antonio, Danny Ings and Divin Mubama as our front men.
It means of course that we are now two big players down on last season’s squad with Scamacca and Declan Rice sold this summer and. as yet, not a single player having arrived at the club.
