A Guardian journalist has doubled down on a deal between West Ham and Everton for wantaway star Michail Antonio.
Players at both West Ham and Everton have been linked with moves in the opposite direction of late.
Michail Antonio was heavily linked with the Toffees back in January but ended up staying with the Hammers.
The powerful forward turns 34 next season and it is felt by many fans that he and West Ham should now part ways after he helped the club lift their first major trophy for 43 years.
Antonio has been linked with moves to Saudi Arabia and MLS but Everton have retained a keen interest in him too.
Meanwhile at Goodison Park, Everton attacker Demarai Gray has been linked with a move to West Ham.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
Now a Guardian journalist has doubled down on a deal between West Ham and Everton for wantaway star Antonio.
Jacob Steinberg, who has strong sources inside West Ham, claims Everton remain interested in Antonio.
“Moyes also has problems up front, with Internazionale pushing to sign Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio the subject of interest from Everton and Al-Ettifaq,” Steinberg claims.
Back in March The Sun claimed that should Everton stay up, West Ham’s all-time leading Premier League goalscorer will be right at the top of Sean Dyche’s wish-list.
According to The Daily Mail over the weekend Everton ace Demarai Gray is firmly on the West Ham radar in the summer transfer window.
90min have also claimed that Hammers boss David Moyes is keen to bring the 27-year-old key Everton attacker to the London Stadium this summer.
And it has been widely reported that Everton are thought to be demanding between £10-12 million for him.
We reported on Hammers News about claims Gray is trying to force Everton to let him leave amid interest from West Ham and Fulham.
Surely if there is still genuine interest on both sides a swap deal for the Jamaica teammates would make sense for West Ham and Everton?
But Moyes and Dyche may prefer to sell and raise money for other targets instead. Watch this space.
