Hammers play down “row”
A report by Mike Keegan writing for the Daily Mail claiming David Moyes‘ future at West Ham is under serious threat following a row over recruitment has been completely played down by club insiders.
Keegan claimed Moyes‘ may depart in the near future leaving the Hammers searching for a manager ahead of the new season.
He went on to say that tensions had been rising throughout the summer amid a difference in opinion on transfer targets between Moyes, new technical director Tim Steidten and co-owner David Sullivan.
He said: “Those tensions have now reached breaking point with a feeling that the departure of Moyes or Steidten is inevitable”
A club insider was quick to point out that both men were at the player awards at the Intercontinental Hotel, O2, and many witnessed them talking and joking with each other during the course of the evening.
Abd as reported on Claret and Hugh this evening West Ham’s board have no intention of replacing the manager before the season starts whilst sources close to David Moyes says he has no intention of walking away.
