Manchester City may offer a new contract to club No.1 Ederson, according to GiveMeSport.
The Cityzens are keen to have the Brazilian international’s future resolved before the end of pre-season, with the goalkeeper having been courted by Al-Nassr.
Ederson has less than two years left on his current deal at the Etihad Stadium, and he is only earning £100,000 a week.
With Al-Nassr said to be offering almost five times that salary, the 30-year-old is said to be very tempted to make the move to the Middle East.
It remains to be seen whether a contract extension would persuade Ederson to stay. A lot could depend on the wage that the Cityzens are prepared to offer him.

It is believed that the Saudi Pro League side are not prepared to meet Ederson’s £50m asking price but they could table an improved bid of around £35m over the coming days.
GiveMeSport claim that, if the proposal is not accepted, then they may decide to end the interest in the keeper. However, Ederson himself could be a pivotal factor.
If he refuses City’s new contract and presses for a transfer then City may be forced into accepting a lower bid from Al-Nassr. Manager Pep Guardiola doesn’t like keeping unhappy players in his squad.

If City do give Ederson a new contract, it will be interesting to see how his teammate reacts to the situation, Many assumed that the German signed his own contract extension earlier this summer on the assumption that he would get more minutes.
However, if Ederson does end up staying put, it could cause some tension IF any promises about game time have been broken. For now, Ederson’s future remains up in the air.
