We reported yesterday that the appointment of Ruud van Nistelrooy would happen in the next 48 hours and we do believe at this point that we have our words in good hands, as this deal looks done and an exciting future for Leicester looks to be on.
We will hopefully see a new momentum and a clear identity in play with a vision to produce talent from our own ranks, with a fantastic group of young players coming up and through in the next years.
This will be an extension of what Enzo Maresca had established and not a type of hybrid that we did see under Steve Cooper, as it all looked a bit messy and far from fluid. Ruud van Nistelrooy is a man that we feel can bring this project far and with a clear and offensive touch and back to Leicester being fearless.
Will be interesting to see who RVN will bring with him as there are several positions to fill in the coaching staff.

We were a bit surprised to see the sacking of Steve Cooper, but hopefully the club representatives are happy with the conclusion and that the future can be build with a man that has a special place in football.
The squad is far from balanced, but still it should be possible to get points on board as the use of home grown talent will be the idea going forward, with less signings from outside. Leicester do have some of the most exciting young prospects in their u.17 group, and we do know how Ruud van Nistelrooy worked during his time with PSV.
Leicester are known for their great policy of bringing forwards some of the greatest players in the world, such as Peter Shilton and Gary Lineker, both born in Leicester. The fact that they also in recent years have made some fantastic business regarding Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Ben Chilwell and Harvey Barnes makes it possible to believe that new recruits will be nursed forward.
Exciting to see how this project will be looking going forward, interesting days in front.
