Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez has told the club that he is considering his options on whether to remain at the Etihad.
The Argentine wants more game time in key moments which he is currently struggling to get thanks to Erling Haaland’s presence in the team.
Pep Guardiola has emphasized Alvarez’ importance to his City side and has said that he would like to keep the 23-year-old. Upon hearing the news, Manchester City fans have taken to X to voice their opinions on Alvarez’s comments.
The club needs to tell him to make up his mind ASAP. We can’t wait much longer if he wants to leave (because that means we have limited time to find a buyer & a replacement)

Let him go we buy a proper 8 or 10 we cannot keep players with such weak mentality of complaining about playing time in big matches thru media, what will stones say he didn’t play from match until FA cup final, doku,Nunes, kovacic, gvardiol, Grealish,Bobb,Ortega all dont complain

He won’t leave, just wants to play more and is making that known publicly

Nothing wrong with what he’s saying. He’s quality, the club thinks highly of him will try to accommodate him. I doubt he’ll get a move this year. However next season may provide better opportunity as you’d expect a lot more movement in the transfer market.

I still don’t think the club will sell him this season. If he leaves I don’t think we will replace him tbh.

Julian Alvarez’s hint at leaving Manchester City
The Argentina international spoke to BBC Sport whilst at the Olympics with his national team. He said: “I am focused here [at the Olympics] because it is a short tournament. At Manchester City I feel very good, I played a lot of minutes.
“But we will see after the Games. First, if I can, I will take a few days off. Then we will decide.”
Premier League rivals interested in Alvarez
Arsenal and Chelsea are both reportedly keen on the 23-year-old as they are both looking to upgrade at the striker position. Alvarez could follow in the footsteps of both Gabriel Jesus and Cole Palmer by moving to a Premier League rival.
Manchester City wants at least a fee of £59 million upfront if they are to sell Alvarez, but the Cityzens have made it clear that they would rather keep him.
