One former Chelsea player has offered some compliments to a current player but also says that he is “not N’Golo Kante” who was obviously consistently superb for the club.
Kante made his return to France in the summer and was great for them in the Euros, showing that he’s still got it and has much to offer.
EXCL: Inside story of Chelsea player being dead set on joining Crystal Palace in the summer but Chelsea moved the goalposts…
For Chelsea he was world class and consistent throughout his time at the club, and he became a legend here I believe off the back of his performances and what he did for us.
Some people have mentioned Moises Caicedo alongside Kante because they both play a similar role and do a similar job in terms of breaking up play and intercepting.
But former Blue Pat Nevin says Caciedo is not Kante.
Nevin compliments Caicedo
Chelsea fans were comparing Caicedo to N’Golo Kante following his excellent display against West Ham.
Nevin does not believe that Caicedo is there yet; however, he has offered some big compliments to the Blues midfielder.
On Caicedo, Nevin told talkSPORT as cited on The Chelsea Chronicle:
“He has started his game again. He wins things, he is hard to beat, he is not N’Golo Kante, but he is brilliant at killing any sort of quick breaks, yes, but any time there is a tight pass in the midfield, he is zipping in there as well.
“So all that sort of stuff that he is kind of good at, he is showing he is good at. He is not going to score 10 screamers from outside the box every year, you are not wanting that, you are not expecting that, you didn’t pay £100 million for that.”
