Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich has been through Bundesliga battles before, but the meeting with Bayer Leverkusen this weekend holds a little more weight than usual.
After Bayer Leverkusen ended Bayern Munich’s reign over the league last season, the Rekordmeister is out to prove itself.
“We are three points ahead, we have a home game. We played a few good games. The way we’re playing football at the moment gives us confidence, regardless of whether we scored five or six goals. Of course, in the end it’s about winning, but the way we’re winning games gives us confidence in our strengths. We want to show that on Saturday,” said Kimmich.
The match will make a statement for both squads — either Bayern Munich is back…or “the king stay the king” with Bayer Leverkusen.
