Former Premier League goalkeeper Ben Foster believes Chelsea would sell Cole Palmer if they received an offer of £150m.
Palmer has been a sensation since he joined the Blues from Manchester City on deadline day last summer in a deal which could be worth up to £42.5m.
The 22-year-old has taken the Premier League by storm and he’s established himself as one of the best players in the league in a short space of time.
Foster thinks Chelsea would sell Palmer for £150m
Palmer had an incredible debut season in which he was named Premier League Young Player of the Year as he scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists in his first season of playing regular football.
Despite not starting a game for England at Euro 2024 he made an impact from the bench in the the knockout rounds and scored the equaliser in the final against Spain.
The England international has picked up where he left off last season and after his incredible four goal haul against Brighton last weekend he has six goals and four assists in the first six games this season.
Palmer has rightly been receiving praise from far and wide and conversation has centred around if he’s currently the best player in the Premier League.
The Blues will be delighted with their business and look to have got an absolute bargain, who is under contract at the club until 2033.
However, Foster believes Chelsea could do the unthinkable and would sell Palmer if they received an offer of £150m.
“Chelsea would not sell him, he’s on a nine-year contract,” he said as cited on X.com.
“They would not sell him for anything less than £150m. That’s what it would take to get him out of there.”
It would seem very unlikely that Chelsea would entertain selling Palmer at all and his value has no doubt soared since he signed and he’s likely to be worth well over £100m.
Palmer will have the evening off against Gent in the Conference League on Thursday before returning to action against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
