Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen took the opportunity to praise head coach Vincent Kompany in the locker room after the team dropped a 1-0 decision to Aston Villa in the Champions League.
“Vincent, we are certain that with your style of play, your speeches, your communication with the players, you’ve given us a lot of joy in the past few games. You will bring us joy again. We are happy that you are with us. The way we are playing football again makes us very happy. We can feel that the team is having fun. We have to look ahead to the important game against Frankfurt. We will certainly give it our all. Hopefully we will show the performance that we have shown in recent weeks,” Dreesen told the team per Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
The support was likely welcomed during a tough time. We will see if a rebound is on the horizon for this weekend’s Bundesliga match against Eintracht Frankfurt.
