After a pretty dull first half, Chelsea against Nottingham Forest got rowdier and rowdier until a hectic extra time period.
The Blues almost won it before the 90th minute though. With Forest down to ten men, the Blues really turned the screw. Cole Palmer had been pretty quiet along with the rest of his team early on, but his influence in the game grew, and in the 86th minute he was so, so close to winning it.
An insane touch took him around Murillo in the box, and gave him a clear shot on goal. Mats Selz saved it, and somehow got back up to stop Palmer’s second bite of the cherry.
He wasn’t done there either – he made another crucial save in injury time too to deny the Blues 3 points they really thought would be theirs when Palmer dashed through.
