When Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany saw star midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović land hard on his shoulder without being able to brace himself, he knew it could be bad.
As the club would later confirm, the talented Germany international broke his collarbone. Bild indicated that he would miss up to three months, which is a brutal loss for Bayern Munich, but a big setback for the developing player as well.
Needless to say, Kompany felt like it would be bad during the postgame media scrum.
“I’m not a doctor, but it’s not looking good. He was probably our best player so far. It won’t change anything about the career he will have. But it’s a pity for us that he won’t be with us for now,” Kompany said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Now, Pavlović will have to heal and work his way back into form. No doubt, everyone is rooting for the midfielder to get fully healthy as soon as possible.
