According to a report from Sport Bild’s Christian Falk (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich star Thomas Müller is still deciding on whether or not he will retire, but if he decides to keep going, MLS could be serious option for the 34-year-old:
Thomas Müller has not made a final decision yet on whether he will retire in summer 2025. Should he decide to continue his career but not renew at Bayern, Müller will certainly not play for another European team. The MLS, however, is said to be quite appealing to him – especially since the country will host the 2026 World Cup.
Seeing Müller in MLS would be….odd to say the least. Regardless, the remainder of this season will likely have a big role in determining exactly what Müller decides. Fans will want to see him stay on, but his role is limited (and could be even more limited soon enough), so retirement — or a move abroad could be serious considerations.
