It has been a brilliant day for fans of Jamal Musiala. First, the young Bayern Munich superstar was able to confirm his match fitness with a second start in four days, then he was able to score a phenomenal first hat trick, leading to him getting to put his feet up for the entire second half and take home the matchday ball.
But the amazing, brilliant, very good day for Musiala fans may have just become better. Asked after the match about if a contract extension soon is conceivable for him, Musiala teased an affirmation.
“Yes, I can imagine it. We are in talks. I’m happy here,” Musiala said, in comments captured by @iMiaSanMia
These are just three short sentences, yet they mean so much for Bayern. The Bavarians have been longing to see him renew his contract and openly want to make him the face of the club. Now it seems like it is on the verge of happening…just don’t start holding your breath yet.
Musiala elaborated more on the topic, emphasizing there was “not much to say now” and declining to put an exact timetable on his extension:
