The international break is finally over and there won’t be another one until February/March 2025 which should come as great news for those who disapprove of international games. Bayern Munich is back in action with a Bundesliga match against neighbors FC Augsburg. The Bavarians remain undefeated in the league so far and will be looking to extend that when they take on Die Fuggerstädter.
Team news
Hiroki Ito (Foot), Josip Stanišić (Knee), João Palhinha (Adductor), and Aleksandar Pavlović (Collarbone) are all confirmed out (via Transfermarkt), while Manuel Neuer cut his training session short, indicating that he couldn’t continue. This was later revealed to be a precaution so that he could play at the weekend. Sven Ulreich (listed as Illness on TM) was confirmed unavailable for reasons unknown.
Let’s shake things up a bit and throw in Daniel Peretz’s who’s looking to build upon his impressive showing on international duty. Youth player Lennart Karl was also seen training on November 19 so there’s a chance he makes the bench. Tarek Buchmann trained with the team the day before that and so did Pavlović, but the latter definitely won’t be rushed back.
Moving on to the starting XI, Harry Kane will play up top but the cast behind him can be a bit of a mix. For now, let’s put Jamal Musiala in the middle with Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry either side of him. The pivot will most likely be Joshua Kimmich and Raphaël Guerreiro. The defense stays the same with Alphonso Davies, Dayot Upamecano, and Kim Min-jae. Sacha Boey is back in training and is an option to start so let’s put him in at right-back.
