After a stunningly good UEFA Nations League group stage, former Bayern Munich manager and current German national team boss Julian Nagelsmann will lead his squad into the quarterfinals where it has drawn Italy.
The 2020 (really 2021) European Champions will represent a tough test for a resurgent Germany side, who is excelling with Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala and Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz leading the attack. The full draw bracket is as follows:
Things will be somewhat complicated for Germany as Wirtz will miss the first leg due to yellow card accumulation, but Nagelsmann’s impact on the squad overall is undeniable.
