West Ham United have apparently made a big bid for a Brazilian striker ahead of the summer transfer window.
Graham Potter absolutely has to get the signing of a new striker over the line for West Ham this summer.
West Ham have apparently turned down the chance to sign Yoane Wissa, and Potter is said to be on the look-out for a younger, more clinical model than the Brentford hitman.
The Hammers have always struggled when it comes to getting the striker signing 100 per cent spot on.
Potter has to break that hoodoo this summer, if he is to oversee some genuine progress at the London Stadium.
And it seems like the 49-year-old Hammers head coach has one man in particular lined up for the job.
Corinthians owners not happy with West Ham’s Yuri Alberto bid
Yuri Alberto is quite clearly a firm transfer target for the Hammers this summer.
The agent of Yuri Alberto has claimed that West Ham have made a formal offer for his client already.
However, that hasn’t gone down well at all at Neo Quimica Arena.
According to ESPN, Corinthians are not at all happy with Alberto’s agent speaking out about a £25 million offer being made for his client by the Hammers.
That’s because the Brazilian club did not receive a bid directly from West Ham for the 24-year-old striker.
In fairness to Corinthians, that’s totally understandable.

The Hammers should have gone directly to the owners of the Brazilian club with a proposal for Yuri Alberto.
Or perhaps his agent is just stirring trouble in a bid to seal a big move for his client.
Why Yuri Alberto deal would mean David Sullivan is calling the shots
The Brazilian has been on the Hammers radar for quite some time now.
In fact, West Ham were first linked with a move to sign Yuri Alberto way back in the summer of 2022.
It’s no coincidence in my mind that the Hammers are still chasing his signature three years down the line.
David Sullivan is clearly the common denominator in this.
If I have got this right, it would be hugely concerning. West Ham need Potter and his sidekick Kyle Macaulay to work closely together regarding player recruitment.
But if Sullivan is calling the shots, it’s very bad news indeed.
