Man United could have Marcus Rashford available for the game vs Chelsea.
Manchester United have been working without Marcus Rashford for their last couple of games. The Englishman was nursing an injury, then, he’d deal with an illness.
The Red Devils won their two games without him, though it’s clear to everyone that United are a better side with Rashford fit. The attacker was spotted back in training yesterday, which was a welcome sight.
Now, United’s boost has been confirmed by Ten Hag, who revealed that it ‘looks like’ the key star will be available to play vs Chelsea.
Here’s what the gaffer had to say in full:
“It looks like [he will be available], but yesterday he returns in training and he looks quite fit but we have to see today what the outcome is from the training – how did he recover and then we will make our choices.” Ten Hag told ManUtd.com.
It’s super encouraging that Rashy is looking sharp in training. It’s always a worry that, when you’re out, you lose that sharpness and speed – at least for a few matches while you build it back up.
It feels like Rashford is trending to being fit enough to start this game, which is obviously huge for our chances at winning against Chelsea. The Englishman has traditionally done well against the Stamford Bridge club over the years. Let’s hope that trend continues here.
We’re just now one point away from securing our place in next season’s Champions League. Win both of our last two and we’re guaranteed to finish third. Obviously, qualifying for the premier European competition is priority number one, but it’d be nice if Rashford can help his side to back-to-back victories to close out the season.
