Marcus Rashford has scored 30 goals in all competitions this season, becoming the first player to reach the landmark since Robin van Persie in our last title winning campaign.
He’s been named the Players’ Player of the Year and the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year. When receiving the latter, he spoke about his huge pride.
Definitely a proud feeling. It’s been a long time since an academy player has won this award so I feel a huge sense of pride. I just hope that more academy players can go on and this award, and feel what I’m feeling right now. I’m very happy, I’m very pleased. I just want to say a big thanks to my teammates and staff because without them pushing me every day in training you don’t get to see the best version of me. I appreciate all of you guys, thank you very much.
