After Jude Bellingham blow, Manchester City and Liverpool have their eyes on Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.
Real Madrid once again will smash big cash and snatch away one more huge name in European football, like they always do. Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola are both aware of this fact and have therefore shifted their focus to Bayern Munich and let go of the pursuit of Jude Bellingham.
Manchester City are potentially going to lose Ilkay Gundogan (who is yet to sign a new deal) to Barcelona and Bernardo Silva to PSG which will give them a void to fill in the midfield. So it is for Liverpool who have already bid farewell to three midfielders in James Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita, all of whom have confirmed their exit from the club.
Manchester City were very close to signing Jude Bellingham this summer, but the 19-year-old seems to have been slipped by the Blues and is moving to Real Madrid, causing City to twerk their transfer plans and focus on Gravenberch.
According to Mirror, the 21-year-old is the latest addition to City’s midfield plans who however was also the target of former Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp. After making a move from Ajax to Bayern Munich, the Dutch midfielder gained the attention of many with the Merseyside club being one of those. Liverpool have already made contact with the midfielder.
Gravenberch made 24 appearances this season and was an unused substitute in Man City’s both legs against Bayern Munich. Manchester City are also in talks with Joshua Kimmich whose contract at Munich is set to expire in 2025. The German midfielder however will not want to move away from his country, particularly this season.
Liverpool and Manchester City have been firm rivals in the transfer battle as well and while the former looks to rejuvenate his squad and bring back the winning mentality, the latter would love to continue the winning momentum and revamp his squad with a few noteworthy talents like Gravenberch.
